Practice
I have had the incredible fortune of sitting down to work with my friends every day for over a decade at Each+Every. We have a great team and we get to contribute to some pretty meaningful endeavors.
As a Principal Designer at E+E I lead most of our work with churches, ministry organizations, and 501(c)3s with a particular focus on brand identity. Many of our clients have kindly shared with me over the years that our team has a distinct ability to fully understand and affirm their goals and motivations, evidenced throughout the process of our discovery phase.
This ability to “get” our clients usually means that when designing brand, interactive, environments, or collateral, a client will hire us for one and inevitably partner with us for the rest. I find this rhythm of work very fulfilling and I enjoy having a wide range of design opportunities on my plate at any given time.

Education
I earned a BA in Communication at Grove City College and an MFA in Visual Communication Design at Kent State University. I’ve taught at both institutions and have been part-time faculty at Grove City since 2017.
My MFA thesis is titled “Designer as Cultivator: An Exploration in Critical Making for the Care of Interdisciplinary Culture.” Big liberal arts guy. Aspiring polymath I guess. This has been an enriching part of life as I’ve had the privilege to contribute to the growth of the design program at Grove City and help students learn the “why” as much as the “how.”

Ministry
I also currently serve as Director of Creative Arts in a part-time staff role at Parkside Kent, a new plant of Parkside Church. I manage our communication and lead worship on Sunday mornings. I previously served in the same role at Parkside Green for three years.
I am passionate about supporting and equipping church ministry. Before grad school, my first job out of undergrad was in-house comm staff at my church (with a lot of hanging out to play on the worship team.)
My peers have heard me say that design work is ministry to clients and teaching is ministry to students. I really enjoy being able to offer insight from my own experiences when I’m working with ministries.
